Why Us?

The Positive mental health foundation was set up in June 2005 by a retired guidance teacher and counsellor, who recognised the need to educate and train young people in the development of positive mental health skills.

Bullying in Ireland is a behavioural problem which affects the lives of thousands of children and their families. The humiliation, fear, frustration, social isolation and loss of self esteem which children experience when bullied results in absenteeism from school, poor or deteriorating schoolwork, personality changes, illness, depression and unfortunately sometimes suicide.
